PJSC Rosseti and Moscow Region have signed a long-term cooperation agreement. The document was signed by Andrey Ryumin, Director General of the company, and Andrey Vorobyov, Governor of Moscow Region at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. It is mainly focused on combining efforts to develop the network complex in order to establish long-term mutually beneficial cooperation directly in the sphere of development of the power supply system for data processing centers (DPC), as well as to realize the potential of Moscow region as a whole.
The agreement is aimed at increasing the investment attractiveness and competitiveness of the region's economy, creating new jobs, and increasing tax revenues to the budget system of Moscow Region.
From the part of Rosseti Group, the implementation of projects for the power supply of DPCs will contribute to a significant increase in productive supply, and as a result, in revenue growth.
The parties also agreed to coordinate activities on the consolidation of the network complex facilities under the management of Rosseti Group.
Rosseti has a large investment program in Moscow region, its volume amounted to more than 24 billion rubles in the last year only. The agreement allows to increase the efficiency of our work, to synchronize the plans for the development of the network infrastructure with the solution of the social and economic issues of the region. It is also important for us to support the consolidation process, which ensures uniform quality standards of electricity supply for all consumers, timely repairs, and infrastructure development," Andrey Ryumin said.
"Energy is a resource for development. For such a fast-growing region as Moscow region, reliable electricity supply is of the crucial strategic importance. New microdistricts are being built, and there is a great need for new networks in suburban cottage settlements and suburban non-commercial partnerships. Moreover, additional capacities are required for construction of DPCs. It is common knowledge that such objects consume a lot of energy. We have a number of proposals for the construction of DPCs from different companies. We consider this direction promising and are very interested in the development of Rosseti's investment program in Moscow region," Andrey Vorobyov said.
