Power engineers of Rosseti Group took part in the VIII National Championship of cross-industry blue collar jobs in hi-tech sectors based on the WorldSkills Hi-Tech methodology. They showed the best results in the following occupational competencies:
- Andrey Povarennykh from Rosseti Ural became the winner in the Maintenance and Repair of Relay Protection and Automation Equipment competence;
- Maxim Filippov from Rosseti Volga surpassed his competitors in the Operation of Cable Power Transmission Lines competence;
- the team of Igor Erokhin and Rustam Shaplok from Rosseti Kuban became the leader in the Smart Metering System competence.
Competitions of blue-collar professions in high-tech sectors were held in Yekaterinburg with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia and became the largest occupational skill competition for specialists of domestic enterprises. This year, about 500 contestants gathered at the venue to demonstrate their knowledge in 39 competencies. More than 20 power engineers, who had won the corporate championship of occupational skills according to WorldSkills standards, represented Rosseti Group.
A number of competition competencies were developed on the initiative of Rosseti Group in order to improve the training of personnel for the power grid complex of the Russian Federation.
Rosseti annually holds open corporate championships of occupational skills according to WorldSkills standards, intending to support the promotion and enhance the prestige of blue-collar jobs among the country's youth. In 2016, the Group joined the WorldSkills movement in the official status of an associate partner of the Union "Agency for the Development of Professional Communities and Workers "WorldSkills Russia".
