In 2004, Aleksey Molsky graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, majoring in Electric Power Systems and Grids and in Electric Utility Economics and Management.
In 2003–2006, he worked as an engineer of Center MES, a branch of FGC UES.
Beginning in 2006, he was a staff member of the executive arm of FGC UES.
From 2010 to 2012, he was the Head of the Rehabilitation Department of FGC UES.
In 2012, he was appointed as the Deputy Chief Engineer of FGC UES.
In 2012, he was appointed as the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of FGC UES (reorganized as a public joint-stock company in 2015).
From October 2016 to May 2020, he was a member of the Management Board of FGC UES.
In September 2019, he was appointed as the First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of FGC UES.
On April 24, 2020, he was appointed as the Deputy Director General for Investment, Capital Construction, and Sales of Services of ROSSETI.
On May 29, 2020, he was elected to the Management Board of ROSSETI.
