The Business Forum “Innovative Potential of the Russian Electricity Distribution Grid Sector” has opened within the framework of the 14th International Specialized Exhibition “Electric Networks of Russia 2011.” The forum opening was preceded by signing of the Cooperation Agreement between JSC IDGC Holding and JSC Electromechanical Plant. The agreement was signed by Nikolay Shvets, Director General of IDGC Holding, and Dmitry Bykov, Director General of Electromechanical Plant.
EMP is the only domestic manufacturer of 110 and 220 kV SF6 gas-insulated switchgear (GIS). GIS cells manufactured by the plant belong to the new generation of SF6 gas-insulated switchgear. In more than 30 years, the enterprise has supplied to the domestic electric power grid facilities more than 500 GIS cells. EMP’s products are 10-20 percent cheaper than their foreign counterparts through comparable in quality.
As Nikolay Shvets puts it, IDGC Holding is interested in fruitful cooperation with EMP. Specifically, the Company plans to consider the enterprise’s proposals for the supply of GIS and 110-220 kV tank SF6 circuit-breakers, 110-220 kV TGF measuring current transformers and proposals for the operation and maintenance of this equipment.
