In the World Bank's Doing Business ranking, Russia has moved up by five positions compared to last year and took the 35th place.
Such progress has been achieved due to the considerable simplification of procedures for technological connection to the power supply system in recent years, which enables the country to enter the top ten by the indicator "Connection to the power supply system" for the first time in history.
Experts of the World Bank has highly appreciated the efforts of the group of companies "Rosseti" to improve the availability of grid companies services. Representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, interviewed by the World Bank experts, have also noted the significant improvements in the technological connection.
Since 2014, rating of the Russian Federation has been determined by aggregating the results for two largest cities of the country — Moscow and St. Petersburg, where the assessment was made for the Affiliated Companies of "Rosseti" Group — MOESK and Lenenergo.
From the very first day of activity, the Rosseti Group has identified the extensive availability of power grid enterprises services in all regions of operation as the main priority of work. A broad range of comprehensive measures has been implemented to simplify the procedure for technological connection of consumers to the power networks: the utmost attention was paid to the development of interactive services, which simplify the interaction of customers with network companies, a number of administrative barriers were removed together with the executive authorities, which brought a reduction in timing of connection to the electricity grid and reduced its cost.
