On June 1, 2017 at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, PJSC "Rosseti" and "Inter RAO" signed a bilateral Agreement on cooperation in the field of quality of power metering and control in the framework of the loss reduction and improving the quality of customer service.
Signatures under the document were put by the Director General of PJSC "Rosseti" Oleg Budargin and the Chairman of the Board of "Inter RAO" Boris Kovalchuk.
Energy companies intend to combine their efforts to develop long-term effective cooperation with a number of strategic areas for joint activity. In particular, establishment of procedures and order by which the amount of transmitted electric power in the regions of joint presence of subsidiaries of PJSC "Rosseti" and PJSC "Inter RAO" is formed, joint work for reduction of the energy losses in the networks during transmission and quality improving of customer service is organized.
"Both "Rosseti" and "Inter RAO" are constantly working to improve the system of power control and metering, - said Oleg Budargin. - So the Agreement on joint efforts is a logical and natural step in continuing the work of previous years to create favorable conditions for the development of this system in Russian regions." The head of "Rosseti" expressed confidence that the signed Agreement is a new stage of cooperation that will contribute to the energy efficiency of the subsidiaries of both companies and will significantly reduce power losses.
The document foresees the interaction of power engineers in the work aimed at both standardization and typification of the business processes associated with execution of functions of accounting and control of electricity. Including the establishment of policies and procedures by which the amount of power transmitted is formed, the determining of the standard unit consumption for the implementation of reading the power metering, collection, storage and data exchange devices. These measures will allow optimizing operating costs.
The efficiency of the electric grid complex and therefore the quality of customer service – one of the highest priorities of energy companies. The Agreement signed today will unite efforts of the power engineers in the implementation of the necessary measures.
