Today, on June 1, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, PJSC "Rosseti" and PJSC "UAZ" signed a road map on the implementation of the main directions for cooperation on the use of UAZ equipment for facility maintenance in electric grid complex.
The document was signed by Director General of PJSC "Rosseti" Oleg Budargin and Director General of "UAZ" PJSC Vadim Shvetsov.
Under the Agreement, the companies agreed to develop new models of equipment on the basis of UAZ cars for the needs of the distributing grid complex, and joint development of measures aimed at renewing the transportation fleet of "Rosseti". The companies also intend to continue cooperation on creation of new promising areas for automotive engineering.
In addition, the road map stipulates the development of service infrastructure for efficient and reliable operation of the UAZ vehicles operated by subsidiaries and dependent companies of PJSC "Rosseti", as well as the training of specialists in the field of maintenance and repair of automotive vehicle. Taking into consideration the broad geographic location of the electric grid facilities of the "Rossetti" Group, the availability of service centers throughout Russia, availability of spare parts and the maintenance of common standards of vehicle service became an important aspect of partnership with UAZ.
Director General of "UAZ" Vadim Shvetsov noted: "The company "Rosseti" continues to be our key client, which widely exploits the vehicles of UAZ in various and hard-to-reach regions of the country. Today we have signed an agreement to expand our cooperation and develop new types of equipment for the needs of the distributing grid complex. Our unique manufacturing capabilities to produce cars on the basis of universal UAZ platform allow us to offer the "Rossetti" Group a wide range of special purpose vehicles and various add-ons taking into account all requirements and wishes of the company."
We will remind that the Agreement on strategic partnership between “Rosseti” and the UAZ was signed in 2016. The Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant was chosen as a partner of "Rosseti" Group for the supply and maintenance of motor vehicles.
