Participants of the Youth International Energy Forum has been trained in China 28.04.2017

From May 25 to 27, 2017, in the framework of the integrated program for members of the youth personnel reserve of the "Rosseti" Group in preparation for the Youth International Energy Forum the overseas internship of participants was held in China.

The State Grid Corporation of China hosts the participants of the forum for the second time. During the first visit the young specialists, representatives of Russia, along with the project work, had the opportunity to see the power facilities of the parent company in Beijing – the experimental base for high-voltage power lines, the State Grid Corporation of China, a charging station for electric vehicles, smart grid objects. This time, our Chinese colleagues have invited forum members to visit the Training center of the State Grid Corporation of China (College of technology).

The teams from Russia, France, Germany and China were actually living and working together in the campus Center, located in the city of Taian (Shandong province) that targets on the training of engineering technicians. In addition, on the second day of the visit, the Chinese colleagues have organized a trip to the Electrical center of Shandong, where the participants could have got acquainted with the production of big power high voltage transformers for work on DC and AC lines and the main venue of training centre – Sinarskiy campus, specializing in training of managers and employees, servicing high-voltage lines. During the visit, the young professionals visited the training staff-free substation, the control center, the center for verification of metering devices, the training center to work with current transformers, and the training ground of the high-voltage power lines.

A power transformer 600/400 kV with rectifier to transfer the DC was of particular interest to the Russian team, the French colleagues were more interested in the verification laboratory of the whole work cycle which was completely automated and intuitive and was tailored for students.

The training ground of the high-voltage power lines for the training of maintenance teams conducting rescue and recovery operations on ultra-high-voltage overhead AC and DC lines made a lasting impression on all the participants. All the participants acknowledged the experience of the Chinese colleagues on the compulsory internship for three months in the Training centre of all employment in the State Grid Corporation of China employees to be also very interesting.

After a short break for visiting the Electrical Engineering center and learning about the functioning of Training center of State Grid Corporation of China, the teams once again immersed in work on their projects. The closer is the finish, the more and more intense the work becomes. At this stage, the participants moved to the practical implementation of their projects. On the first day they reported the results of inter-module work, despite the time passed since graduating from the Moscow module, the team made significant progress and showed new interesting developments. During a debate in mixed groups, the participants discussed the technologies underlying all four of the project ideas, their strengths and weaknesses. Then, making the necessary adjustments of top-level the teams passed to the detailed design of projects - selection of test sites, set priorities, plan of implementation.

In the inter-module period before the meeting of May 28, 2017, in St. Petersburg, the participants obtained tasks on the studying the organizational models of implementation as well as the specific technological aspects of the projects.

In the global period the project will be joined by another participant - a team of young professionals from Belenergo. The existence of a specially developed portal will allow the Belarusian team to join the project and to complete the tasks already implemented by other team’s members in a distance mode.
