The First Deputy General Director of Rosseti PJSC, Roman Berdnikov, took part in a roundtable with small- and medium-sized business leaders at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF). The discussion touched on issues of business gaining access to state-company procurements, increasing quotas for purchases from small- and medium-sized entrepreneurs, and making the appropriate legislative amendments. The participants were full of praise for the efforts by Rosseti PJSC in terms of supporting entrepreneurial initiatives.
Roman Berdnikov noted that Rosseti works in close cooperation with the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, the Leaders Club, and Opora Rossii (Backbone of Russia). This helps to create flexible conditions for small- and medium-sized business in terms of participating in procurements.
“At each of our subsidiaries, we have created an advisory body responsible for the public audit of company procurements. And this has produced some definite progress. Over the first five months of 2016, SME purchases accounted for 64% of all procurements, while 5,000 individual purchases were made under “special tenders” in the amount of RUB 24 bln,” stressed Roman Berdnikov.
