JSC Russian Grids is going to connect to the electric grid the drilling rig making plant which is currently under construction in the Kostroma region. The new industrial facility will provide products for the Russian and foreign oil and gas markets. Besides, about 300 new jobs will be created in the region.

The NOV Kostroma LLC plant, currently under construction, is included in the Register of Investment Projects of the Kostroma region. By 2019, the plant is expected to reach its full processing capacity – 16 thousand tonnes of equipment per year. The launch of the enterprise is scheduled for early 2015.

The plant requires a maximum capacity of 5.4 MW. At present, power experts have started designing the electric grids to provide electricity for the plant.

Power will be supplied to the production facility from substation 110/35/10 kV “KPD” via two new cable lines. A new distribution point (10 kV) will be also built. The completion of the first phase of technological connection of the plant to the electric grids is scheduled for early 2015.

The total volume of investments earmarked for the construction of electric grids for the facility is 40 million roubles. The work operator is JSC Russian Grids' subsidiary – JSC IDGC of Centre.
