Born on August 24, 1981, in Moscow.
Vasily Belov graduated from the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of Lomonosov Moscow State University and received an MBA degree from the American Institute of Business and Economics (AIBEc) in 2003. He completed studies under the Executive Management & Leadership program at Cambridge Judge Business School in 2004.
From 2001 to 2002, he worked for IBS and, then, RUSAL’s New Projects Department of the Extruded Products Division. At RUSAL, he participated in developing the corporate strategy, initiated projects to improve operating efficiency, and managed strategies to develop new products.
From 2004 to 2006, he worked as a consultant for McKinsey, specializing in strategic consulting projects in metallurgy and the banking sector.
From 2006 to 2009, he was the CEO and a member of the Board of Directors of Fosborn Home.
In November 2009, he took charge of the project office of the working group on energy efficiency of the Presidential Commission for Modernization and Technological Development of Russia’s Economy.
In 2009, he also became a member of the working group on energy efficiency of the Presidential Commission for Modernization and Technological Development of Russia’s Economy, specializing in public policy on energy conservation and energy efficiency, investment, innovation, and public-private partnerships.
In December 2011, he was appointed as the Executive Director of the Skolkovo Foundation’s Energy-Efficient Technology Cluster.
In September 2013, he joined the Board of the Skolkovo Foundation.
From November 2013 to May 2017 he was the Senior Vice-President for Innovations of the Skolkovo Foundation.
From May 2017 to September 2019 - General Director of Skolkovo - Venture Investments LLC.
Since September 2019, he has been the Director of Mergers and Acquisitions of IBS LLC.
He is currently a member of the Boards of Directors of PJSC FTC and of JSC RVC.
