Company History

Rosseti, Public Joint Stock Company (PJSC ROSSETI) – the operator of energy networks in Russia – is one of the largest power companies in the world. The company manages 2,3 million kilometers of power lines and 496 thousand substations with the total transformer capacity of more than 773 thousand MVA. 

In 2016 the supply of electric power to consumers was up to 742,7 billion kW∙h. The number of employees of the "Rosseti" Group of companies is 215 thousand people.

Consolidated revenue of the group in 2016 reached 904 billion rubles, which was 17.9% more than in 2015.  A record net profit of 98.3 billion rubles has been achieved: it is 20.5% higher than a year earlier.

The complex assets of PJSC «Rosseti» are represented by 36 affiliated and dependent companies including 14 interregional and a regional distribution grid company. The controlling shareholder is the State represented by the Federal Agency of the State Property Administering of the Russian Federation, that owns 88.04 % of the share capital.

PJSC ROSSETI is a leading company in the Russian market in introducing innovative technologies to the main and distribution grid complex. The company pays great attention to such issues as energy conservation, energy efficiency, international cooperation, environmental protection and occupational safety.


In order to ensure a uniform approach to the implementation of technical policy and management principles to grid complexes of the Russian Federation, to carry out a unified investment, financial, economic and human resources policy, on November 22, 2012, the President of the Russian Federation signed the  Decree No.1567 "About Open Joint Stock Companies "Russian Grids".

The aim of structural reforms on the combination of main and distribution power networks is to create a single point of responsibility to shareholders, coordinate economic efficiency of investment activity, develop uniform standards and indicators of quality, improve operational efficiency of the power grid enterprise complex of PJSC Rosseti.

Pursuant to the decree, and in accordance with the decision of the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on March 23, 2013, IDGC Holding JSC, was officially renamed Joint Stock Company Russian Grids. The corresponding amendments to the charter of the company were registered on April 4, 2013, by the Inter-district Inspectorate of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, No. 46, in Moscow, and entered into the relevant record of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE).

Following the RF Civil Code changes, on June 30, 2015 shareholders approved restated charter which contains the Company's new trade name with alterations regarding organizational and legal form. Interdistrict inspectorate of Federal Tax Service of Russia registered new edition of the Charter of the Company of Moscow No. 46 on July 17, 2015. The corresponding record was made in the unified state register of legal entities.  

Oleg Budargin was elected as Director General of PJSC ROSSETI.
